Biography
Gavin Schmidt is a climate scientist who works on understanding climate change in the past, at present and in possible futures. He is a fellow of the American Geophysical Union (AGU) and the American Association for the Advancement of Science. He was the co-author with Josh Wolfe of "Climate Change: Picturing the Science" in 2009, and was awarded the inaugural Climate Communication Prize in 2011 from the AGU. He's a senior adjunct researcher in the Columbia University Climate School and Director of the Goddard Institute for Space Studies.
