Nudging: Past, Present, and Future
Details
In recent decades, nations all over the world, including the United States and Japan, have adopted 'nudges': Policies that maintain freedom of choice but that promise to improve health and safety, promote economic growth, help consumers to make better choices, and reduce poverty. Nudges are a product of decades of Nobel Prize-winning work in behavioral economics and behavioral science, which has given us new insights into human judgment and decision-making. This lecture will explore the past, present, and future of nudges and nudging.
