Kazuyo Sejima
Kazuyo Sejima is an architect from Ibaraki, Japan, and established Kazuyo Sejima Architectural Design Office in 1987, then founded SANAA with Ryue Nishizawa. She was the general director of the 12th International Architecture Exhibition at the Venice Biennale. Major Awards are; Architectural Institute of Japan Award, Golden Lion, Venice Biennale of Architecture, Pritzker Prize, Officier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, Medal with Purple Ribbon, etc. Major architectural works: 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa, Rolex Learning Center(Lausanne, Switzerland), Louvre Lens Museum(Lens, France).
